Mark William Anderson, resident of Yorba Linda, died unexpectedly of undetermined causes on New Year's Eve. Born on 12 March 1957 in Hawthorne, Mark grew up in Seal Beach. He attended Los Alamitos High School, from which he graduated a semester early in 1975. Mark received his B.A. in a self-designed Media Studies major from Sonoma State University in 1979. Mark is survived by his brother Robert (Bob) Anderson and sister-in-law Faye, nephew Chris and wife Stephany, and niece Bre Anderson. Great uncle to Kira and Thomas. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Sr., and in 2008 by his mother Marilyn (nee Dimsey). He leaves behind life-long best friend Kyle Spiller, dear friends Sue Haley, The Killen Family, and numerous close friends. Mark was "Uncle Mark" to many of his peers' children.

At the time of his passing, he worked for Super D, a media distribution company in Irvine, CA. His co-workers there sorely miss him.

Possessed of an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music and film history, Mark found his passion in playing and writing for the guitar. He enjoyed his time as a radio disc jockey, and educating his audience about the music he broadcast.

A private memorial service will be held on 4/10/2010.

Donations in Mark's honor may be made to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund http://www.sweetrelief.org/
